A recent graduate primarily focused on meeting peers should still compare Lower Heights, which generally offers a larger recent-graduate population and stronger Washington Avenue nightlife. Upper Kirby can work well for someone who wants a calmer environment, a Greenway-area commute, and a specific well-managed property. River Oaks is the stronger all-around choice; Upper Kirby is more property-driven.
