Quick answer

Dallas walkability is highly property-specific, but the strongest walkable pockets commonly include West Village, the Crescent and Klyde Warren Park side of Uptown, Victory Park, Knox Street, and selected parts of Turtle Creek. North of Dallas, Legacy West, The Star, and Grandscape can also provide concentrated mixed-use walkability. Do not assume that an apartment is walkable simply because it uses a popular neighborhood name. Before applying, walk from the actual apartment entrance to the restaurants, groceries, trails, parking, and other places you expect to use. Check street crossings, lighting, heat exposure, construction, and how the route feels both during the day and after dark.
