Quick answer

Not automatically. If you work in Plano or Frisco several days each week, compare Legacy West, The Star, Grandscape, and other northern apartment districts before choosing central Dallas. These areas may offer newer apartments, restaurants, entertainment, and a shorter daily commute. Uptown, Victory Park, and Knox may still be worthwhile if central-city social life matters more and your office schedule is flexible. The decision should be based on the actual office address, days required in person, peak-hour drive, toll costs, and how often you expect to visit central Dallas. Test the commute during realistic work hours before applying.
